Die sinnliche Wahrnehmung von Silikon, Licht und vibrierenden Farbflächen ist das zentrale Merkmal der Kunst von Lev Khesin (* 1981). Der inzwischen in Barcelona lebende Künstler hat schon während seiner Ausbildung an der UdK Berlin Öl und Pinsel durch Silikon und Spachtel ersetzt. Er verwandelt seine Materialien sowohl in suggestive, vielschichtige, farbbetonte Malerei als auch in raffinierte, fröhlich vielfarbige bis abgründige plastische Objekte. Lev Khesin stellt international aus und ist in zahlreichen privaten sowie öffentlichen Sammlungen vertreten.
The sensory perception of silicone, light and vibrating color surfaces is the central features of Lev Khesin’s (* 1981) art. Now in Barcelona-based the artist replaced oil and brushes with silicone and spatulas during his education at the UdK Berlin. He transforms his materials into suggestive, multi-layered, color-accentuated paintings as well as into refined, cheerfully colorful to abysmal three-dimensional objects. Lev Khesin exhibits internationally and is represented in numerous private and public collections.
