LEV KHESIN »Die Welt als Hologramm«

Der international erfolgreiche Künstler LEV KHESIN ist in München nicht unbekannt. Seine neue Ausstellung bei SMUDAJESCHECK “Die Welt als Hologramm” befragt mit den Medien Silikon, Fotografie, Video- und holographische Installation das komplexe Spiel zwischen Schein und Wirklichkeit. Inspiration dazu und ein wichtiges Gedankengebäude für seine Arbeit ist die mathematisch bewiesene These des amerikanischen Physikers Leonard Susskind, die Welt werde zwar dreidimensional wahrgenommen, sei aber in Wirklichkeit wie ein Hologramm auf eine zweidimensionale Fläche codiert. Die Räumlichkeit seiner Werke beschäftigte LEV KHESIN schon während des Kunststudiums an der UdK Berlin. Dieses Leitmotiv ist in seinen Arbeiten aus Silikonschichten sehr präsent. Seine neue hologrammähnliche Lichtprojektion hebt den Dualismus zwischen Illusion und Wirklichkeit auf eine höhere Ebene. Ist das gesamte Universum in Wirklichkeit ein zweidimensionales abstraktes Gemälde? LEV KHESIN behauptet, ja, so ist es. Lassen Sie sich in und durch seine Farbräume (ver)führen. 

The internationally successful artist LEV KHESIN is not unknown in Munich. His new exhibition at SMUDAJESCHECK “The world as a hologram” interrogates with the media silicone, photography, video and holographic installation the complex game between appearance and reality. The inspiration for this and an important structure of thought for his work is mathematically proven thesis of the American physicist Leonard Susskind that the world will although perceived in three dimensions, it is in reality like a hologram on one coded two-dimensional area. LEV KHESIN was already preoccupied with the spatiality of his works while studying art at the UdK Berlin. This leitmotif is featured in his work from silicone layers very present. Its new hologram-like light projection raises the dualism between illusion and reality to a higher level. Is the whole universe in reality a two-dimensional abstract painting?
