Esther Hagenmaier (*1975) lebt und arbeitet in Ulm. Ausgangspunkt ihrer »shaped photographies« sind sehr häufig Bauten des renommierten Schweizer Bildhauer-Architekten Walter Maria Förderer. Die Fotografie ist bei Esther Hagenmaier nicht Abbild, sondern die Kunst, neue Bilder oder Räume zu vermitteln oder vorzuspiegeln. Reduzierte Formen und Farben in raffinierten Formaten sind Merkmale ihrer zurückhaltenden, leisen Kunst.
Esther Hagenmaier (*1975) lives and works in Ulm. The starting point for her »shaped photographies« are very often buildings by the renowned Swiss sculptor-architect Walter Maria Förderer. For Esther Hagenmaier, photography is not a copy, but the art of conveying or pretending to convey new images or spaces. Reduced forms and colours in refined formats are characteristics of her restrained, quiet art.
